Kurt, we'll definitely try to stick around. Your music is great. We have a show at 9pm back in NYC, so we'll see what we can do! In any case, keep up the good work and kick some butt!

Temple 8

Temple 8 is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist, Kurt Tischer. It was in its fledgling, pre-production stages for some time before becoming fully born when Kurt and drummer/percussionist, David Clark met as unsuspecting members of an otherwise low-key demo recording project booked by another band at Kurt's home studio.

By October 2001, the first Temple 8 recordings were streaming from music web sites all over the Internet and garnering attention from fans in America and even moreso in Europe and Asia.

Temple 8 hits a home run with their apt titled debut CD "Enter The Temple", using poetic and politically charged lyrics to illustrate the stark state of world affairs, driving toward spiritual awakening, all laid out and wrapped around a superb, epic musical platform.

Endorsement with Dot-On-Shaft Guitars, Canada. (See photos section)

The addition of original background video in 2008 for live performances has added visual impact to the performance. It also provides the perfect medium for sponsors and advertisers. Contact us if you would like to rent advertising space on our video screens.

In December 2008, the title track to "Enter The Temple" was featured on the compilation CD Progressive Rock Hall of Fame Soundscapes Vol. 1.

February 2009 - "Danger Zone" track from Enter the Temple was awarded an Honorable Mention in the 3rd Peacedriven Songwriting Award, part of the Peacedriven Campaign, a grassroots effort recognizing songwriters that use music to inspire social change.

Follow-up: Temple 8 @ Clinton Art & Music Fest

Well, it was a long trip, but we finally got there. I felt sorry for Dean Anshutz, who was gracious enough to take up the drum duties on this show. He had been working lots of hours and doing lots of other gigs. The guy was running on about 3 hours of sleep and by the time we got back home, I was seriously worried that he'd wind up driving himself into a ditch. Thanks, Dean. Your effort is much appreciated and I p… Continue

Don't Miss Temple 8 @ The Clinton Art & Music Fest!

Straddling the realms of Neo-Progressive and Progressive Metal. Exciting, stadium ready Progressive Rock/Metal full of thick, chunky, driving riffs, melodic chords and open atmospheric vibe that defies tradition. Reminiscient of Rush, Dream Theater, Spock's Beard, Marillion and Pink Floyd, Temple 8 brings it's brand of prog rock and metal stylings to the Clinton Art & Music Festival, Saturday, August 29th.
